Why I’m Running…

When I arrived in Ogden from Mexico in 2016, I came with a dream for a better future—for my daughters, and for myself. In 2019, when I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, that dream only grew stronger. I realized that life can change in an instant, but our purpose—our reason for showing up—can never be shaken.

That diagnosis didn’t break me. It built me. It reminded me that leadership is not about titles—it’s about heart. It’s about stepping forward when it’s hard. It’s about planting seeds that will grow into strong trees—trees that will protect our children, our families, and our future.

That diagnosis didn’t break me. It built me. It reminded me that leadership is not about titles—it’s about heart. It’s about stepping forward when it’s hard. It’s about planting seeds that will grow into strong trees—trees that will protect our children, our families, and our future.

I am running for Ogden City Council because I believe in a city where:

  • Every young person has access to education, mentorship, and opportunity.

  • Small businesses are uplifted, not overlooked.

  • Every voice—from the East Bench to the West Side—is heard, respected, and represented.

  • Families feel safe, empowered, and proud to call Ogden home.

Over the years, I’ve served on different boards

Now, I’m ready to take that experience to City Council—to fight for what matters, and to make sure that policy reflects the values we live every day.

    If elected, I will:

  • Champion after-school programs and safe spaces for our youth

  • Safe Neighborhoods

  • Support and Sustainment of Local Business

But I can’t do this alone. This is a campaign powered by people—by you. If you believe in a better Ogden—a more inclusive, vibrant, and united Ogden—then I ask you to walk with me. Knock doors. Talk to your neighbors. Share our message.

Because when we come together—cuando nos unimos—there’s nothing we cannot achieve

it’s the beginning of a movement. A movement led by community, by heart, and by hope.

My path has been guided by a strong desire to give back, make a meaningful impact, and open doors where they were once closed.
